Weaving the Fabric of Modern Democracy
ESTABLISHED 2026
The Civic Thread Project is a civic education initiative founded by attorney and educator Karen Lundquist. The project explores the inner workings of democratic institutions and empowers people to participate meaningfully in civic life. Through workshops, visual storytelling, and teaching resources, we help communities navigate the systems that shape public life and better understand the vital role every citizen plays within them.

OUR MISSION
The Civic Thread Project strengthens civic literacy and democratic engagement through workshops, visual storytelling, and public education. We help people better understand how democratic institutions work and how citizens can participate thoughtfully in civic life. By connecting ideas, history, and everyday civic practice, the project invites communities to explore democracy together.
